WHAT IS THIS DESIGN SOLUTION?
The design solution aims to stop biodiversity loss by leaving wildlife habitats undisturbed.
We could do this by setting up more bat, duck, and bird houses to compensate for the loss that occured previously. The goal would be to have humanity leave the natural wildlife habitats undisturbed so they can prosper naturally.
potential successes and drawbacks
- A success: people could leave wildlive habitats undisturbed, following the directions, and we would be closer to stopping or even reversing the loss of biodiversity.
- A success: we could set up many bird, bat, and duck houses. The respective animal population could grow.
- A success: by setting up bird, bat, and duck houses globally, the world economy would improve as biodiversity increases.
- A drawback: We need to find a way to motivate people to do this. People make money from doing the actions that negatively inpact biodiversity.
- A drawback: Setting up bird, bat, and duck houses is not cheap.
- A drawback: The houses, which weren’t cheap, might fail and may not attract the target animals.
why is this important, and why should you care?
We should care about this because, believe it or not, biodiversity loss impacts us all.
Today, we are undergoing the sixth mass extinction of species. The last one was around 65,000,000 years ago: when the dinosaurs became extinct. This is very scary and it has been proven that human activity is causing this.
Less biodiversity means less beauty in our world, less food for us, and a threat to our survival. Humanity taking actions that reduce biodiversity are not good for us.
Biodiversity is a very important factor in our everyday lives, and every human should care about their impact on it.

project feasibility
In summary, this project aims to set up bird, bat, and duck houses as well as leaving wildlife habitats undisturbed. In my final thoughts and opinion, this project could be feasible if there is enough funding and research to make it successful.
Like many other projects, the big hurdle is money and motivation. But with enough effort, I believe we can reduce biodiversity loss with this and ultimately better all of humanity. I would rate this a 7 because it is feasible but has challenges.
